Hello, I’m Rachel.

I’m the cake artist, designer, and founder behind Blondie’s Bakehouse.

Blondie’s began in 2019 after I realized the path I had planned for myself wasn’t the one I was meant to follow. I was studying early childhood education when I made the slightly terrifying decision to leave college and pursue something I couldn’t stop thinking about: food, art, and creating beautiful things.

What began at home grew into a business that has become incredibly personal to me. Blondie’s is still independently owned and operated, and every cake that leaves my kitchen has been designed and created by me.

These days, I’m also a mom to my little boy, Henry, which has given this business an entirely new meaning. He gets a front-row seat to the beautiful mess of running a creative business from home, and I get to build something I’m proud of while raising him alongside it. I’m incredibly fortunate to have a family that has supported Blondie’s from the very beginning.

While I love creating desserts for all kinds of celebrations, weddings have always had my heart.

My favorite cakes aren’t necessarily the most traditional ones. I’m drawn to texture, movement, unexpected details, sculptural elements, florals, and designs that feel a little different. I love taking inspiration from a wedding—the flowers, stationery, fashion, venue, colors, or even one tiny detail—and translating it into something completely personal.

I don’t want your wedding cake to feel like a cake you’ve seen a hundred times before.

I want it to feel like yours.
